Wild Pine Earrings. This design is inspired by the windblown trees that cling to the rocky peaks of many of our mountains here in central Vermont including Mount Mansfield, Camel's Hump, Spruce Peak and Bolton. Many have beautiful hiking trails, and others, a swaying, dense and wild backcountry. Carefully hand-sawn trees and arches hang by a series of silver jump rings from two glowing amber stones in hand-forged settings. Sterling silver studs and ear nuts are made to hold the ethically sourced amber stones without slipping or turning. I've created a small window behind each stone to allow light to travel through them. A patina and a brushed finish highlight the curves and angles of these earrings.
Keep in mind that stone pairs are one of a kind and will vary. From stud to base they measure roughly 5.5cm in length. 2cm in width. This is a one-of-a-kind pair of earrings. No two pairs that I make will be exactly the same, as they are completely handmade from sterling silver sheet and wire.
